Our experience with Highfalutin Furry Babies was great from start to finish. I contacted Alicia about a year before we added our baby to the family. I was nervous to add a puppy to our family because we have a senior English Bulldog that is soon to be 12 years old. I had lots of questions about the Bernedoodle breed. Alicia called me a promptly (a couple times) and we discussed the pros and cons. The pros definitely outweighed the cons. We had a family trip planned to Disney over Halloween 2019 and we just happened to see the perfect boy posted on her page the month prior to our trip. Alicia thought the baby would be perfect for our family. WOW was she right. His adoption had fallen through and he fell into our lives for a reason. The last day of our Disney trip our baby met us at the airport to surprise the boys. It was the BEST DAY EVER! Maverick has been a total blessing to the family and our Bulldog seems to be living his best life with his new brother. We hope to add a little girl in a year or so. I highly suggest Highfalutin Furry Babies. We couldn’t be happier with our new addition. We are planning his one year old birthday photo shoot as we speak.

As a first time puppy owner, I researched breeders all over the country to try and find one that I felt would guide me, not only through the process of selecting a puppy, but also prepare me for my first few months of life with a puppy. Once I found the website for Highfalutin Furry Babies I knew that Alicia and her family were the right place to get my puppy. From initial contact, to answering questions about litters along the way as I was educating myself about dogs, Alicia was super responsive and kind (despite the million questions that I asked her). She worked very closely with me to choose the right puppy for my family. My daughter is allergic to dogs and my children were both a little nervous around dogs in general. When she called me that it was our turn, and she has the perfect puppy for us, I didn't even question her choice. I knew she had not only our best interest in mind, but also the best interest of all of her puppies. She truly treats all the puppies as if they are going to be her own forever until they are passed on to their families. Picking up our puppy, "cinnamon roll", renamed "Wilson" was easier than getting my family to agree on a name! I flew from New York to Orlando and met Alicia and her wonderful daughter, Lexie, at the airport. They were waiting for me when I arrived, with Wilson and a big bag of goodies for him. With tears of joy in my eyes, they handed Wilson over to me and he immediately settled into my arms as if we had known each other forever. While the treats, toys, and blanket that smelled like his littermates was wonderful, the best present from Alicia was the binder full of information about Wilson, new puppy schedule advice, and information about puppy care and safety. Alicia sat with me for an hour making sure I was ready to go. She and Lexie answered all my questions, reassuring me that I was ready to go. Armed with my binder of knowledge, made me feel much better about heading home as a first time puppy mama with my furry bundle of joy. Wilson has been with our family for a few months now and we couldn't be happier! His temperament is amazing, he is a joy to be around and everyone in the neighborhood tells us what a sweet, beautiful puppy we have. I feel truly lucky to have found Highfalutin Furry Babies and tell everyone who compliments Wilson about Alicia and her wonderful puppies! Now I have to convince my family that we need to get another!

I have been so overwhelmed by the generosity of Highfalutin Furry Babies. They fully donated the most amazing fur baby to me so I can raise and train her as an elementary school support/therapy dog. They chose the perfect little fur ball to bring joy into my home and hope and happiness into the classroom and lives of students in need. I will be working on obedience training with her until she comes of age to start her therapy/support training.

 Her name is Freya Sky. (Freya: after the Celtic goddess of love) Since this little blessing was placed in my arms, she has been my apricot shadow. She is sweet, clumsy, cuddly, hilarious, and full of love and spunk.

Freya knows her name and has been learning lots of new things. She is getting used to the words: potty, love, cuddle, calm, toy, ball, hungry, treat, sit, and more. She loves to play soccer in the backyard.

Freya found her shadow the other day and I couldn't stop giggling at the cuteness. She is waiting patiently for her big brother, 6-year-old ginger cat named Tavish, to warm up to her arrival. So far he only goes around her when she is sleeping.

I cannot thank Alicia and the Highfalutin Crew enough for this donation & bundle of joy they have blessed me with. They are more than generous and have truly been a blessing.

We have been blessed with an amazing Daughter, Brielle. She is smart, spunky and adventurous! Brielle has grown up on a farm and loves all animals big and small but especially loves Dogs!
When Brielle was a year old she was diagnosed with epilepsy and a tethered spinal cord. She has had major spinal surgery and brain treatment. After her surgeries and heavy physical therapy, we noticed she was having developmental delays. After a few months of seeing specialist, Brielle was diagnosed with nonverbal Autism. We had several specialist tell us Brielle would never walk and never have any communication skills. Our family does not give up and I immediately started researching what we could do to help our daughter on her learning journey and keep her safe! I came across service dogs for seizure alert and Autism! I thought I had found a perfect program that promised to train the perfect service dog for our daughter. $25,000 later and a 4hour flight with our family, we found out once we were there we were scammed. We ended up getting a lab who we named Nina after a very long battle in court along with 20 other families. Nina was not health screened and was not trained at all but after loosing so much time and money we took her back to Florida to at least live a better life with us than the organization that scammed so many families. Our family fell in love with our new dog Nina and we started to train her. She immediately picked up on Brielle's seizures and was alerting us to everyone. Brielle received Nina before her 4th birthday and for 6 beautiful years Nina and Brielle we're always together and Nina has saved our daughter's life over and over again! January 2019 Nina had to be retired because of health issues with her hips and our vet found cancer. We were absolutely devastated. Brielle relied on Nina so much my husband and I were not sure what our next step was. Do we go through this horrible process of finding another service dog again or would Brielle be ok without one now that she was almost 10.
We watched closely how our daughter was changing. Between Nina no longer being by her side and her maturing, it was a rough 2019. At the end of 2019 Brielle started having seizures regularly again and was hospitalized with a kidney infection. My husband and I brought up the service dog subject again. I went back to researching so much can change in 6years! We knew we wanted a doodle mix for the hypoallergenic aspect and temperament. This time around we were not trusting an organization with our daughter's future and our money again. While researching I came across the breed called Bernedoodle and a breeder that was only 20min from our home! I was so excited. I added Highfalutin Bernedoodles to my list of Facebook and Instagram pages I followed and we started to save money for one of their babies. Between November 2019 and January 2020 we were in and out of specialist and ER due to Brielle's health. On January 24th Brielle had to be rushed to ER for having 3 back to back seizures. Brielle was hysterical while they ran all sorts of test on her. The worst feeling in the world is being a parent and not being able to help you're child. After 3 hours of screaming, blood work and having 6nurses and myself hold Brielle down we we're finally at the point of just waiting for results. I sat down to update friends and family and made a post on FB to reach everyone quicker. I sat there holding Brielle's hand while she watched Beauty and the Beast on the hospital tv. My phone alerted to a Facebook message from an Alicia Marshall. At first I didn't recognize the name and then remembered she was the owner of Highfalutin, I figured it was just an automatic text saying they had available puppies for purchase.
There are times in life when you pray and they are answered just as fast as the words left your mouth to God's ears and the blessings come from amazing individuals you do not even know. This was one of those insane moments I will never forget for as long as I live. My social media post had reached Alicia and her message was saying how Brielle was in her prayers and that THEY WANTED TO DONATE A BERNEDOODLE to our daughter. I read this text over and over again because I just could believe what I was reading. I even had our nurse read it in case I was reading it wrong! I immediately contacted our trainers and after seeing the temperament of Highfalutin's puppies and how amazing their breeding was all of us were just amazed at the gift we were going to be blessed with.
On February 21st because of Alicia and Lexie's dream Brielle received her new best friend Sullivan! They connected in a few short hours and in just 2 ½ months Sully has already comforted, kept Bringing from danger and has started alerting to her seizures. Sullivan is currently in training with a local dog trainers who specialize in the kind of service dog Brielle needs and he is their favorite. Sullivan is extremely intelligent and so intuned to emotions. Sullivan is the full package and anyone who comes into contact with him can tell that he is amazing. The Highfalutin Bernedoodle family is beyond amazing! The love and pride they have in everything they do is a rare find in the world we live in today. The beyond selfless act of the donation to our daughter will continue to protect and help her through her journey for many wonderful years to come!

Our family is so very thankful to Alicia and Highfalutin Furry Babies. Our daughter was hospitalized last February (2019) after many years of trying to determine a proper medical diagnosis. For 4 straight days in the hospital, the only thing that settled her down was the service dog. She has a love for animals like no child I’ve ever seen. We left the hospital without a diagnosis, but eventually found a specialist. During her 4 hour appointment, where they took 13 tubes of blood, she cried and cried and asked me if I promised to get her a puppy if she promised to be brave. I made a promise that day that I was unsure how I would keep because the expense of her medical bills and treatments were primarily out of pocket. Just that day, we spent $4000 for testing.

I knew she’d need a puppy that was hypoallergenic, and that’d mean that we need to work with a breeder as opposed to adopting from the shelter. Additionally, I needed to ensure the health of the puppy as exposure to any illness makes my daughter very, very sick. I reached out to Alicia about our story.

Our precious Marley Jane was given to us as a full donation through Lexie’s Dream. We drove to Florida at the beginning of March to pick her up. She was the surprise of a lifetime and has brought SO much joy to my little girl (and our entire family). She reduces my daughter’s severe anxiety and brings out giggles that is music to all of our ears. She goes almost everywhere we go and seems to know that her “human” needs her.

It has been two amazing weeks since Alicia hand delivered River, a 12 week old Australian Bernedoodle, to our home with her daughters Emme and Lexie. What 12 week old puppy goes into her crate willingly, doesn't cry or bark, walks around the house off leash without issue, cuddles and watches full length movies with us and learns to sit and stay in 2 days? I need to stop and take a minute and thank Alicia, her precious family and all at HFFB:). We were looking for a new puppy after a sad loss last year of our precious golden. When we came across HFFB’s website and read about the family, the love that they have for this breed and the joy they have in helping others, we knew we didn’t need to look any further:)). We were very fortunate that we didn’t have to wait long, because a puppy came about after someone wasn’t able to have a Lexi’s Dream puppy. I can’t tell you how over joyed we were when we found out we were getting this little ball of fluff. We were about ready to go out of town right before the quarantine and Alicia and her kiddos babysat until we could get her. When they dropped off Bella after we got home, they stayed with us for about 2 hours talking about their family, getting to know ours, and showing us the ropes about having a puppy! Our family had been debating on getting a puppy for a long time. Is it the right time? Can we handle it? Where should we look? In a family with four children 10 and under, our house can get a bit...crazy. But we always wanted a dog. After reading about Lexie’s dream at Highfalutin Furry Babies, we knew they were the right place for our newest family member. The entire process was seamless and Alicia knew exactly which puppy would fit in with our family. She sent us a photo of Nala and I immediately knew, this was our newest addition to our family. The care they take in raising these puppies and finding the perfect forever home is a true labor of love. It’s unreal! These are gorgeous, mannered, lovable balls of fluff!! Nala has been exactly what we were missing; she is wonderful with all of our children, other dogs, and visitors of all ages. She is such a love and so very smart. When we decided to start our search for a puppy, we knew we wanted a bernedoodle. Previously, we had only 15 pound Shih tzus, but we wanted a bigger dog so our wheelchair bound son, Ray, could interact with him and we hoped we could train the puppy to be his service dog. We started to reach out to breeders close to us but did not feel any connection. Many did not respond. I decided to do an Internet search and I am SO glad I did. It led me to Alicia Marshall at Highfalutin Fury Babies and that was the end of my search.

When we looked on the Highfalutin Furry Babies website and found out about Lexie’s Dream (she donates one puppy per litter to someone to use as a service or therapy dog), we were in shock. We were doubtful Ray would be considered for a donation but we applied…..and we were accepted!! We cannot use words to explain our emotions – elated, happy dance, in shock, all of the above!!

There is something very different about Alicia. She does not see breeding as a transaction. She is doing what she loves and everyone can see it. She truly wants to connect with families, to make sure they select the right puppy and to ensure they are supported throughout their dog’s life. She raises her puppies with so much love and care. She socializes them with her family and other dogs.

Our Furry Baby Bella is the most adorable sweet girl and has the absolutely best temperament. She has brought so much joy into our lives. When we adopted our Micro baby Bella she was only 4 lbs and was so tiny. We wanted ASAP but due to her size The breeder kept her a bit longer to make sure she was healthy and big enough to leave her mother as a responsible breeder should do. We received a incredible detailed binder with pages of important information for new dog owners and a FB support group page from our babies litter. The breeder cares so much about her babies and she goes out of her way to make sure they go to good homes and even stays in touch after the babies are born. The breeder doesn’t just breed gorgeous babies, but she creates a wonderful community in which Bernedoodle parents can connect, share, and communicate with each other their experiences and adventures with their babies.

From the first conversation with Alicia to the moment she hand-delivered Tito to Detroit, we could not be any happier with our Highfalutin Furry Babies experience. Although we wanted the process to go quicker, Alicia was always in touch with us and made sure we were matched with the right puppy for our family. Since we welcomed Tito home, the continued support of Alicia and the HFFB family has been amazing for sharing suggestions and experiences. It’s been fun keeping in touch with Tito’s siblings all over the country and we’re looking forward to getting together with one of his brothers later this year.

The last two months with Tito have been absolutely awesome. You could tell he had been loved from birth and was exactly the type of puppy we discussed with Alicia…smart, full of energy with a great temperament always wanting to be around people. Now that the weather here is starting to warm up, we’re spending a lot more time outside on walks in the neighborhood, taking him shopping and at our son’s baseball games. I cannot tell you how many compliments we get and how often we get stopped to talk about him. (He loves the attention) We love Tito and are so lucky to have been included in Alicia’s HFFB family.

Lastly, one cannot underestimate the power of the HFFB network. Our family had been accepted by Alicia to adopt but had not yet welcomed Tito home when we saw the post in January about donation dog “Geddy B” needing to rescued from a unfortunate situation. Alicia worked tirelessly to find a safe home for Geddy B and I am happy to say he is living the life with my aunt and uncle and their big family getting all the attention he deserves. We are lucky to be part of this network and to have a connection with someone who cares as much as Alicia and her family.

She has always answered any important questions that I have had and also spent a lot of her time explaining stuff to me over the phone and time is something scarce in her life as she is extremely busy churning out those beautiful healthy puppies and that is no ordinary feat in itself! After losing our 2 dogs to old age a year or so ago, my husband & I decided to become dog owners once again.  I began the search for the perfect puppy. Temperament was of utmost importance as we have young grandchildren who frequent our home. One of our dogs had been a rescue who turned out to be very dominant and untrustworthy with the children despite the trainers’ interventions. Since we have family members with allergies, we also wanted a little to no shedding pup. I happened to come across Highfalutin Furry Babies website and was so impressed with all that I read. In particular, the pups are bred for temperament and they even donate puppies to special needs families who need therapy dogs. Since we have a grandson with special needs, this really impressed me. The decision was made to get a bernedoodle from Highfalutin Furry Babies and it turned out be a good one. I’ve never received a puppy that cam with so much information. It’s obvious that the Marshall family very much cares for these dogs. Our puppy is healthy, happy, and fit right into our lives. I so appreciate the work that was done so that we might have the puppy we wished for. I also find comfort in knowing that if questions arise, Alicia is just a message away. We love our Bon Bon, a Bernedoodle we purchased from Highfalutin Furry Babies. Alicia was very thorough with the information she gave us with our puppy when we got her at 8 weeks old. The thing that we loved most about our puppy was that she was used to being handles and every person that she meets now gets a tail wag and a kiss. Our granddaughters were here for Thanksgiving, and they were able to take her out on her leash and play with her all day. This is very important to us since we will be training her to be a therapy dog that goes to visit children at Ronald McDonald House and patients at our local Hospice. This review is WAY OVERDUE! We have had our sweet, loving, and goofy Moose for about 6 weeks now. We are over the moon. Moose has changed our lives since the first day we got him. Moose was hand delivered to me at the Nashville airport. I was anxious and had so many questions having never trained or raised a puppy. I had a feeling of relief and comfort leaving the airport to head back home because of Alicia. Alicia’s friend hand delivered Moose because Alicia had a family emergency. He sat down with me for about an hour that day and reviewed a binder of information that came with Moose and answered all my questions. That binder became my bible with training Moose. I could definitely tell Alicia Calhoun Marshall had worked with Moose as far as training. Training him to sit & lie down was way too easy. By three weeks of being home he was completely potty trained. By four weeks of being home he could independently use the potty bell and sit by the door and wait to go potty outside. Training him has been a fun experience for us because of his exposure as a puppy. I have had questions and reached out to Alicia. She has been so quick to respond and so reassuring. We had some delays in receiving a puppy due to moving & my fiancé being deployed. Alicia was so patient with us and understanding. When the time came and we were ready, Alicia gave us he most PERFECT puppy. Moose has the best temperament. We can take him anywhere. Alicia did a great job matching us with Moose. His personality totally matches our family and lifestyle. He is so sweet and goofy. He has definitely added a new dynamic to Collin and I’s family. I could not have asked for a better furry baby. Our Roxy is the sweetest most chill dog we could’ve ever hoped for. We passed on many because our daughters were looking for a specific color and size and that “feeling” and I am so glad we did. We received a furry package of perfection from Alicia and her daughters earlier this year, who goes by Hank. Hank is a standard F1 phantom colored Bernedoodle who has completely captured our hearts and the hearts of everyone he encounters. From walking us through the process, providing feedback and guidance along the way, when she handed us Hank in Lake Mary, FL we knew we found our baby. For me personally, I had just lost my 13 year old German Shepherd girl a month prior. We recently got our Bronx from Alicia, and he was worth every second of the wait. He arrived with an amazing temperament and personality. You can tell that he was loved from the moment he was born. We drove home to New Jersey from Florida with him and he was calm and relaxed the entire ride.

When my husband and I decided to get a puppy, we did extensive research to find the right Bernedoodle breeder. Since neither of us had a dog growing up, we were really stating at square one. We specifically needed a hypo-allergenic dog as our family members have severe allergies and wouldn’t be able to come over anymore if we had a dog that sheds. As we discussed submitting our application, we figured we would call Alicia first to have her answer some of our outstanding questions and better understand the whole process since we were first-timers. What we thought would be a brief call lasted almost 2 hours and we immediately sent in our application and deposit the same day – no joke. Alicia and her family possess the professionalism, dedication and passion for breeding these beautiful furry babies. It started from a place of love from Lexie’s dream and now her reality is a testament to their hard work, commitment and desire to help those in need with support from these beautiful animals. As much as we got to know Alicia and more about HFFB, she got to know us and our needs based on our lifestyle. While on the wait-list, we were given access to a private page where all owners & future owners can post photos, give advice and ultimately become part of the HFFB extended family. Our furry baby “Bailey” is almost 6 months old and he was flown to us in Vancouver BC Canada at 10 weeks. We can’t remember our family without him . We had talked about getting a dog for years, with 3 small kids and a very busy life we went back and forth with the idea. I researched breeds and breeders all over North America and we decided on a Bernadoodle. After a lot of research we landed on Highfalutin Furry Babies partly because of their good reputation and excellent reviews. Mostly though was obvious they loved their furry babies like their own and that was key to us. We described our short list of preferences which was basically good temperament and a real Bernese look. And that is exactly what we got. Bailey is a dream. By 4 months we were past the puppy accidents - he is unbelievably smart and trainable. When I describe him at 3 months I’m not sure people believe that he slept through the night! He is such a joy, such a good boy and I know I can text Alicia anytime with questions or for support which I did initially but haven’t needed to in a months. Last week, because of the generosity of the Marshall Family & Highfalutin Furry Babies, we welcomed the most wonderful addition to our family, Winston, and we are madly in love already! 

In 2019, I was diagnosed with cancer for the second time, but this time it was stage IV metastatic breast cancer, something there is currently no cure for. This diagnosis was absolutely devastating, not only because it meant my time was limited, but it also meant that having children of my own was no longer an option. That was an incredibly hard pill to swallow, but I have the most amazing man in my life, and now, a furry baby that more than fills that void. Winston is the sweetest boy, and just in the short time we’ve had him, he’s already brought us so much joy. He has truly completed our family and we are forever grateful to the Marshall Family for bringing Winston into our lives.

Though I have a long and tough road ahead of me, I’m determined to beat this, and with my family, friends and Winston by my side, I truly feel I can do what doctors say is impossible.

Andrew and I picked up Harry at Logan Airport in May at midnight. To say Harry was the best covid purchase is an understatement. Harry has been the most amazing addition to our family. After picking Harry up and as first time dog owners, we had a few questions for Alicia. Alicia spent an hour on the phone with us answering any questions we had that evening. 

Harry is the most easy going, docile dog I have ever met. We are constantly stopped in public and we are asked "how old is he?" and "May I ask what breeder you got your dog from?" When we respond with "5 months" they cannot believe it because he is so well behaved. 

I will truly say there is something special about the Highfalutin community. We have become friends with Highfalutin dog owners near and far. Harry enjoys playing with his half sister Coco, who also lives in Boston, seeing his friends Lulu and Zadie over FaceTime and following all of his other friends on Instagram. It truly is an amazing community created by Alicia and her family. We are so thankful for this experience and have loved watching Harry grow. We look forward to our next purchase and truly cannot thank the Marshall family, the Guardian homes as well as the Highfalutin community.

We have wanted a puppy for a long time but we wanted to be sure that we brought home a puppy that would be the perfect fit for our family, which includes 2 kids (10 and 11) and our two beloved cats. I did my research and became obsessed with the idea of getting a mini bernedoodle based on their appearance and personality. Upon further research and several contacts to breeders I connected with Alicia Marshall a Highfalutin Furry Babies. After speaking to her on the phone for an hour I was positive that this was the breeder for my future puppy. Alicia answered all of my questions and explained in great detail the incredible time and care that goes into breeding these puppies to ensure excellent health, temperament, and adaptability to family environments. I immediately put down a deposit to be on the waiting list (it is worth the wait) and throughout the waiting time stayed in close contact with Alicia who was always accessible and communicated with me about upcoming litters and how to prepare for my future puppy. Alicia updated me frequently with photos and videos throughout the journey of Mason’s birth and early development. As it got closer to his arrival she answered all of my questions and guided me thoroughly on registering his microchip, which she provides setting up insurance and provided a comprehensive shopping list of all the essentials. Everything that she recommended is working out great for our puppy. Alicia is truly an expert n Bernedoodles and breeding but what I love even more is that she is a family woman who involves her whole family in caring for these puppies. She and her family provide all the stimulation, love, care and attention that they need to thrive and be happy and healthy.

We previously had a golden doodle and knew that the next puppy we wanted would be a poodle mix; we fell in love with the bernedoodle The breeder we had dealt with, with the goldendoodle, was very hands off and unresponsive so we knew that we did not want that again with our next breeder. We did a great deal of research before deciding on Highfalutin Furry Babies. The Highfalutin website is stunning and as soon as we shot off an email to Alicia and received a quick response we knew we were making the right decision.

Alicia has blown us away with how attentive, responsive, professional and loving she is. She has hundreds of furry baby parents, yet she makes you feel like you are the only one. I’m not sure how she does it!! What we love most is how available she makes herself and that she has an entire discussion group for all the furry baby parents so at every step of the way we have access to advice from everyone who has received a puppy from her. You are never alone! Once we were accepted to the discussion group, the fun began! Alicia posts pictures of the litters when they are born and then every 2 weeks after – of each puppy. Not only that, but everyone else with a Highfalutin puppy posts questions, advice and pictures of their growing pups. It’s so wonderful having access to this and watching everyone grow. Highfalutin furry babies are part of a very special family.

As we followed all the litters we zeroed in on the exact coloring, size and markings we were looking for. We decided to pass on many, many litters (2 years worth) until we found the perfect mini F1b boy. To many breeders this could be annoying and/or some might not even let you pass on a litter. Instead, Alicia worked with us closely on exactly what we were looking for and she helped us pick the perfect puppy.

When we met Alicia at the airport we saw first hand how much she adores, cares for, and loves these puppies as her own. I really don’t know how she gives them up, but then I remember she will continually check on individually and see the pictures we post on the discussion forum so she will never be too far away. In the airport she sat with us for over 2 hours and went through a detailed binder on everything pertaining to our puppy and the care of our puppy. As I mentioned before, our last breeder barely provided us with anything. I couldn’t believe the care package Alicia gave us! There were about 10 toys, some healthy training treats and even a blanket with his mother’s scent. We couldn’t be happier with our decision and we hope that everyone else looking for a bernedoodle goes through Alicia and her Highfalutin program. Alicia and her growing Highfalutin family will be there for you every step of the way!

After growing up with a Greater Swiss Mountain Dog and later developing a dog allergy, discovering the similarly marked Bernedoodle breed was nothing short of a miracle for me! From the minute I spoke with Alicia over the phone, I knew that she was the breeder we HAD to get our baby from! Our boy “Blaze” is a standard F1, tricolored furry dreamboat.

In the short 6 weeks that we have had him, we have reaped so many benefits from all the hand-held care and love that Alicia, Lexie, and their team pour into these babies. I truly believe that the BioSensor early neurological stimulation Blaze received from week one is why he is so smart! We have been able to challenge him mentally to levels of training that I’m not used to seeing at such a young age.

Our friends and family often comment on just how easy-going he is as he just willingly goes with the flow! And can I place my hand over my southern heart in a moment of grateful silence that all Highfalutin Furry Babies are already started on crate training before they come to us? (Blaze slept through the night in his crate from night one!!)

We thought we were choosing Highfalutin Furry Babies to just get a super awesome puppy, which we did. But it turns out we were also choosing an amazing “family” style community of people who adore this breed as much as we do! Alicia and Lexie have truly built a family of new friends who support, encourage, and cheer each other’s furry babies on in all their exciting endeavors.

I had the BEST experience with Highfalutin Furry Babies and Alicia…I would recommend them whole heartedly to anyone! She was extremely helpful/informative/supportive in the “preparation” period before our puppy was delivered, brought us the cutest puppy on earth directly to NYC where we live, and continued to support/help us in all of our questions through the puppy phase. Most importantly, our mini bernedoodle Hoxsey has a perfect disposition, and it is obvious that Alicia created a loving/nurturing environment that shaped her first 8 weeks of life!

As someone who’d never had a dog, I had tons of questions in “preparation” and Alicia was always patient and happy to answer/explain/advise in the months before our puppy arrived. Then when Alicia brought our dog Hoxsey, she gave us an organized binder with everything simply laid out: what & I how much we should feed Hoxsey, what vaccines were advised & when, tips for training, etc. She also brought with her a bad of favorite bernedoodle toys so we literally were all set. Then as we had questions in the subsequent months (what dog shampoo to use, which vet issues were normal, etc) she always was happy to help and got back to us right away.

Our mini bernedoodle courses LITERALLY 50% of the people we walk past on the street in NYC to stop us and ask what type of dog she is since she is “the cutest dog [they’ve] ever seen” This is not an exaggeration--we gotten stopped by over a hundred people in the past month. I’d always loved Bernese Mountain dogs but we allergic…Our bernedoodle does not shed even a single hair, which was what I’d hoped for. But even more importantly, her poodle side makes her extremely fun, playful and smart on top of having the Bernese beauty.

I’d highly recommend a bernedoodle and getting it through Alicia at Highfalutin!

Lulu is the dream dog we never even knew we needed. My partner Jason and I had wanted a dog from early stages of dating. We always talked about it as an element in our future together, not quite sure when we would take the plunge.

One day we saw a bernedoodle on the street, and we knew that was the breed we wanted. I naturally did tons and tons of research, and I stumbled across HFFB. I was so impressed about Lexie’s dream and knew that this was a breeder I wanted to support as I believed in their mission. I messaged Alicia on Instagram and the rest is history. 

We had an hour long phone call and I have never felt so reassured in a decision. I asked so many questions for peace of mind that we were going with a reputable breeder, and she asked us just as many questions to make sure we were potentially good dog owners. Beyond Lexie’s dream and donating puppies to families in need, I love that HFFB never uses a mom for more than four litters. I think this speaks to how much they care for ALL the dogs in their program, not just the adorable pups. We put a deposit down and waited for our Lulu to find us. We initially wanted a flashy tri-color micro, but the minute we saw our mini merle girl, we KNEW she was ours.

She brings us so much joy every single day, even through all the chaos, tears, and frustration of puppyhood. She’s incredibly goofy and clumsy, she loves belly rubs from just about anyone, and her sploot makes everyone laugh and screech with happiness. We get compliments all day every day, saying she is so well-mannered and beautiful. People LOVE her coat. She’s definitely a puppy and we go through all the teething stages like everyone else, but it’s hard to be mad for long once you look at her cute face. We love our girl and she is a part of our growing family.
